The trio was formed in 1992. The "K-OTIX sound" is probably best described as a crossroads between the materialistic commercialism of their better-known counterparts and the enigmatic abstractness of many independent titles. Their influences, encompassing all times and genres of music, are noticeably apparent in their music. Becoming increasingly non-conformist over the years, K-OTIX is cutting deeper and deeper against the grain to deliver a message that needs to be heard, rather than repeating what has already been said. Their most popular single to date, "World Renown", echoes these very sentiments through out the song, punctuating each undesirable aspect of music with "we don't do that shit, can't do that shit, never do that shit..." In fact, a number of patrons in their global audience have proclaimed K-OTIX as a group that people will have to listen to in years to come.
