Each DJ has a unique style of mixing, but we all share a passion for music that focuses on the "cultural" side of the spectrum. Mixing genres from jazz-house, rare groove, downbeat, hip hop, latin, dub, dancehall, broken beat and idm, we aim at creating an eclectic, soulful vibe through our song selections. We also try to showcase quality music below the mainstream radar. Whether it be an obscure funk or latin record or a limited-release from a tiny label, as long as it enhances the groove, we will play it. Our individual influences are wide and varied, but there are a number of key figures that seem to embody what the Parakitachi sound is all about.

Our mission is to simply provide the best time possible for people who appreciate music on a deeper level, and for like-minded individuals who continually find inspiration by digging below the surface.
