Watch the VU meters in Ableton on the right side of the screen. Seems to be showing levels for each turntable's signal.

I smell multi-track recording.

Sucks you won't be trying it until around March 1st.

I just realized that I've been using Serato since around NAMM 2002 when it was a RTAS plugin and they let me be a beta tester. The records back then were 180gm thick mfers too.

I went out to NAMM in 2002 to try to sell ad space on my mixtapes (the Bside Blends) series. I was sponsored by Cakewalk and Stanton, but I vividly remember walking out of the main exhibit area to the side area where I heard this kid (whose name escapes me now) scratching better than anyone I'd ever heard before. When I put 2 and 2 together and realized he was scratching something he'd just recorded (off the mic) I was fucking shocked. He was kind enough to let me get up and scratch for a while. I ended up spending 2 days at the Serato booth and saw ALL these big name guys come through and get on and test it out. Atrak, Jrocc, Babu, etc...

Even crazier...Rane had just debuted their TTM56 mixer and this DJ had convinced Rane to let him scratch with it at the Serato booth. That kid was the entire reason why Serato and Rane linked up.

I am lucky I was at the right place at the right time to witness this enormous piece of DJ history go down right in front of me.

Here's a photo I took while Atrak was messing around....
